Dmytro Yarosh: National State is the guarantee of freedom, justice and prosperity for every citizen

In the late autumn of 2013 a national revolution has been started in Ukraine. Because of the activities of the Yanukovych's criminal regime Ukraine was on the verge of collapse, and its people suffered from iniquity, safe will of officials and from material shortadges. Going into violent confrontation with the people, resulting in the death of hundreds of Ukrainian citizens Yanukovych regime nevertheless has been defeated. However the shameful flight of Yanukovych and his closest accomplices, "changing colors" by the members of the Party of Regions and the rise to power of former opposition do not mean that the National Revolution has won. Today the national revolution must be continued by peaceful methods and this prompted me to propose myself a candidate for President of Ukraine."Right Sector" has published my official election program. Now I want to turn to the community to present some of the principles that I will realize, if I become the President:

1. National state: through the implementation of the strategic interests of the Ukrainian nation to the guarantee of rights and freedoms for every citizen.

Every nation, including the Ukrainian is a community of the dead, the living and the unborn, it is the unity of past, present and future, it is the memory of the ancestors, it is the care about contemporarie andthe responsibility for the fate of future generations. A national state should exist to implement the strategic interests of each nation. At the moment Ukrainians do not have such state — many things have beed put to the foundation for the existence of the present Ukrainian state but not our national idea, not the strategic interests of our nation. This situation has to be changed; there must be a state on Ukrainian land, which will live up the testaments of our ancestors, take care of the present interests of Ukrainian society and secure a great future for our descendants.

Only Ukrainian national state could provide a decent life for every Ukrainian citizen regardless of nationality. It has developed so historically, that Russians and Poles, Belarusians and Hungarians, Greeks and Gagauz, Armenians and Georgians, as well as representatives of many other minorities live next to Ukrainians on Ukrainian land. The most of them like the Ukrainian country and respect its indigenous inhabitants. Proof of this is the fact that Belarusians, Armenians, Russians, Poles stood, fought and died on Maidan next to Ukrainians. The creation of the national state implies attention to the extensive interests of each good citizen. Respecting the rights of the titular nation, the representatives of minorities not only facilitate their economic and social interests, but also create conditions for implementation their own national rights.

2. Solidarism is the key to social and economic fairness in the country.

The existence of Ukrainian independent state was accompanied by the establishment of criminal-oligarchic regime, which parasited on the sweat and blood of Ukrainian citizens, led to extreme social differentiation, robbed not only society but also the state. However, the recent developments in Ukraine made oligarchs aware that their influence is not absolute. The situation in Ukraine has been modified a bit and the oligarchs have adapted to these changes; however, the entire oligarchic system was not eliminated.

We are not opposed to the existence of people in Ukraine who concentrate large business resources and monetary assets in their hands. But these people do not have the right to: a) get rich at the expense of the vast majority of the population and the public interest; b) impose their own rules on political game. In order not to lose everything they possess, local oligarchs should share their wealth with public and the state, invest in the development of Ukrainian economy using their foreign assets and get rid of excessive political ambitions. There is no other way for the peaceful solution to the problem of oligarchy.

If simplified taxation system and some mechanisms for business promotion must be developed for small and medium size businesses, big companies must be accompanied by a system of progressive taxation: the more you get, the more you pay. Excess profits should be directed not to the personal pocket, for purchasing new estates for billions of dollars, but to the state treasury for social programs, as well as to production modernization. This must be be the first strategic step towards building a solidarity society.

The level of personal wealth must depend on natural abilities, education, initiative, hard work. Anyone having the appropriate skills, should pave the way to increased prosperity. But every Ukrainian citizen regardless of financial capabilities must know that all basic interests are secured. It is about the right to free education, healthcare, and abot ensuring the appropriate level of material needs.
On the one hand social programs have to solve the real problems of some population segments, on the other hand they must not contribute to social groups that parasite on the work of others, receiving social benefits without working.

3. Instead of the dictatorship of economy, the philosophy of responsibility, duty and care.

Throughout human history, material factors played an important role in the life of peoples, countries and civilizations. This is quite natural. However the absolutisation of these factors is an unnatural and harmful phenomenon. Such phenomenon we can see all around the world now and particularly in Ukraine. Under oligarchic regime, which ruled and largely continues to dominate in Ukraine, this absolutisation has got particularly degenerate forms as clannish economic interests were assigned to the basics of entire state system functioning.

We recognize the importance of economic factors in the life of state and society, however, oppose to the absolutization of these factors. We state that not a society, state or individual must serve the economy but the economy should serve the implementation of ultimate goals. This is why we advocate for the responsible voluntarism as opposition to the extreme economic determinism.

Strong political commitment, the self-devotion of people filled with high ideals, belief in themselves, combined with patriotic feelings can perform miracles, they can reach goals, which seemed impossible yesterday. So we advocate for the economic policy resulting from the strategic interests of the Ukrainian nation and which will be not restricted by patterns and schemes that now seem secure. This is a policy that puts domestic and foreign economic activity in the service of state interests, its independence and the defense, which do not exclude responsibility for the fate of the environment, which cares for the harmonious development of society and individual. This policy requires first-class specialists - technocrats in the public and private sectors, however, these technocrats must obey the strategic objectives standing in front of the nation.

4. The National State is impossible without effective mechanisms of democracy.

Both external invaders and the representatives of internal occupation regime benefited from keeping Ukraine in the iron grip of excessive centralization, bureaucracy and the lack of transparency. In our turn defending a strong and responsible state we also stand for the implementation of effective mechanisms for national democracy. We know that "good" government is not that, which consists of "good people", but that one which is under constant control of people combined by national idea.

In this regard, we support the election of judges and district police officers, the strict accountability of deputies of all levels to the voters and the possibility of their impeachment, lessening the bureaucracy of government and empowering local administrations. The distribution of administrative powers and responsibilities between public authorities and governments should be done in accordance with the principles of subsidiarity: the state should not interfere in the areas of public life in which the community itself can cope.

5. “Ukrainecentrism” as the basis of geopolitical doctrine.

Without a real national state, Ukrainians were the object and not the subject of world politics. Both ruling parties and opposition in particular found themselves in Russia – West coordinate system for more than twenty years of independence, explaining that Ukraine must either be with Russia, or with the West, or to be a buffer zone between these two geopolitical powers. We reject this neo-colonial approach and defend Ukraine centered view of the prospects in Ukrainian geopolitics.

Ukrainian geopolitical doctrine should be based on multidirectional approach, the search for the maximum number of allies in our multipolar world, and on creation of own geopolitical center. We stand for friendly relations with our neighbors and thus emphasize the importance of integration processes in the following areas:

a) the creation of Baltic - Black Sea axis with the participation of Baltic states, Poland, Belarus and Ukraine;

b) the reactualization of GUAM's geopolitical lines with the prospect of bringing Armenia and Black Sea countries to it (in other words - focus on the unity of the Black Sea and Caucasian countries);

c) the establishment of the most close relations with all countries of Central and Eastern Europe.

In the Middle Ages, Ukraine was one of the most powerful states in Europe. Our goal is to restore that greatness of our country.

6. Raising the level of defense capabilities is one of the main directions of state policy.

Existing as neocolony, Ukrainan state pursued a policy of disarmament and the destruction of own army. Instead, the establishment of Ukraine as a truly independent national state and a strong geopolitical player requires immediate action to revive the defense capabilities. Therefore, it is extremely important radical turn in the attitude of the state towards its own army.

The residual principle of army financing, which took place in the past, must be replaced by funding in accordance with actual needs. The rearmament must be accompanied by forced development of the defence industry. Ukraine has enough technologies and experts, we just have to learn how to use them effectively.
Notable personnel changes should be conducted in the army and all law enforcement agencies focused on the criteria of professionalism and patriotism. An incapable person or disloyal to the Ukrainian state must not be allowed to wear officer's marks. However after lustration the state must make every reasonable effort to raise the social prestige and material wealth of Ukrainian soldiers. In particular, it is the urgent task to solve the housing and living problems of soldiers and raise their wages.

A general militarization of society is important for the increase of the country's defense. Therefore, it is necessary to create territorial self-defence forces like in Switzerland, but on a voluntary basis, and to permit acquisition, possession and carrying of firearms by responsible members of society.

Governmental support to youth paramilitary groups who rely on clear national and patriotic principles can be of importance for the growth of the country's defense capabilities.

Ivan Solodovnyk: Internal occupation regime continues acting. In the environmental area - as well...

The fact that the national revolution is not over, and the internal occupation regime is not removed completely was stated many times. However, looking at some moments of the current socio-political reality, it seems that recent events were not even the beginning of the National Revolution, but only its rehearsal. Too far is the current regime from taking care of national interests, too blatantly behave current officials...

Both the Parliament and the interim government have repeatedly demonstrated their anti-people stance. Once again it happened on April 9. Read the message of UNIAN: "Parliament passed a law on April 9, which changes or liquidates procedures for granting permits for most activities that affect the environment. In favor of decision voted 270 deputies. According to the press service of "National Ecological Centre of Ukraine," the law "On Amendments to certain legislative Acts of Ukraine on reducing the number of permit documents" simplifies cutting down the reserves and construction in the forests. The subject of the submission of the bill is the former president Viktor Yanukovych."

So what do we have? "Post-revolutionary" MPs vote for the bill proposed by the former dictator Yanukovych. But this is not the crux of the problem, but the fact that this bill is aimed at ensuring the interests of pleb-elite at the cost of destruction of national wealth. Who benefits from enacted on April 9th law? Scum who wants to make money out of deforestation and "trust fund babies" interested in living in clean and scenic lands. Concern for environmental protection and revival of ecology? Social justice? Public access to national wealth? Why would pleb-elite care about it? Their main landmark is egoism, pursuit of those private interests, and for the interests of society they "don't give a damn". And this is at best...

Nationalism offers a completely different approach to environmental issues or to any other public interest issues. For the nationalist all that owns the nation is a gift of God, and, therefore, it is not only a right but also a duty. Hence - a special attitude to the national wealth, with which nature has endowed us. Rightly wrote on this subject one of the ideologists of Ukrainian nationalism, the founder of "Tryzub" Vasyl Ivanyshyn. Based on the fact that "the environment - is primarily health of present and future generations," Ivanyshyn formulated the following maximum program: "Our task - to stop the destruction of nature and create the conditions for its restoration and to leave the environment for our descendants in better condition than that in which we live." Unfortunately, the current "political elite" is very far from that logic...

Generally, the impudence of the current pleb-elite leads to the conclusion that the Heavenly Hundred was not enough to change the country. Perhaps we need to sacrifice a few more hundreds? But preferably not people, but the incumbents...

Several hundred citizens of Lviv with chainsaws demanded resignation of city officials

Communism must die

Oath of the participant of Maidan

In late November last year in Ukraine has started the national revolution. It began with questionable slogans and equally questionable behavior of the "leaders" of Maidan. But then everything went the way that was suggested by nationalists, and people started demanding resignation of Yanukovych's Party of Regions and ban of the Communist Party, the fight against corruption, lustration, and complete reload of power. Yanukovych fled, at the cost of blood of our heroes other people came to power in Ukraine. However, most of our demands are not fulfilled. Corruption schemes are restored and enhanced, lustration is not done, guilty of mass murders instead being brought before the revolutionary tribunal serve the present regime. In the power structures operates the fifth column of the Kremlin. Ukrainian patriots are killed and thrown in jail. The government is afraid of its own people and tries to disarm it.

The national revolution has not won yet. And so every Ukrainian patriot must promise himself that he won't stop the struggle. Otherwise, our sacrifices will be in vain.

Given this "Right Sector" initiates nationwide campaign "Oath of the Participant of Maidan." Let everyone who came out to the streets and squares of our cities with the hope of a better Ukrainian tomorrow swears to his own conscience and before God that he will not betray the idea of Revolution. Privately or collectively, at home or in church, at Maidan or in the streets of our own cities let us swear this oath and let us be true to its words!

I, - name, surname - realizing my own responsibility before the Lord, before the blood of the fallen heroes, before my own conscience and Ukrainian people swear:

I will go out to Maidan again or use other methods of struggle if the government continues to ignore the revolutionary demands.

I will go out to Maidan again or use other methods of struggle if the government does not punish the murderers and will instead persecute the patriots.

I will go out to Maidan again or use other methods of struggle if the government does not abandon criminal intentions to disarm its own people and by negligence or deliberate sabotage finally destroy country's defensive potentialities.

I will go out to Maidan again or use other methods of struggle if the authorities go the way of signing the international agreements that restrict Ukrainian sovereignty, inflict a blow on national security, and turn Ukraine into an obedient puppet of Moscow or Western imperialists.

I understand that "good" is not the government that "consists of good people," but one that is under the constant supervision of the united by the national idea people. May the Lord helps me to perform the duties that I take over.

Inscription: "Here, at this place, on 18.02.2014, I should have died, but destiny gave me a second chance. I swear to live the rest of my life worthily."

The communists were defeated in Mykolaiv.

In the night of April 8 the activists of the Right Sector together with other Ukrainian patriots dispelled the pro-Russian demonstration in Mykolaiv, one of the region centres in the South of Ukraine.

The local Communists and Russian "tourists" set up a tent camp in the end of February and regularly organized anti-Ukrainian separative actions. The local government and the police didn’t interfere or even tolerated the actions.

In the night of April 7 to 8 the patriots decided to put an end to this. They surrounded the Communists' camp and dispelled them, despite the fact that the separatists were supported by the police.

ZARA. Bulgarian ultras support Maidan and Ukrainian Revolution

The Statement "Right Sector" on the Events in the Eastern and Southern Regions of Ukraine

A number of anti-state riots that have occurred and continue to occur in the eastern and southern regions of Ukraine shows that Moscow does not limit itself with the imperialist annexation of the Crimea and is trying to either add to its territory another part of Ukrainian lands, or to force the interim government to make concessions. At the same time, Ukrainian authorities have shown a lack of will, which borders on outright sabotage. Because of this we have lost Crimea and risk losing the southern and eastern regions of the country.

Police that previously served Yanukovych regime, today ignores crimes of Russian saboteurs and so-called "separatists." Moreover, it often becomes the enemy of Ukrainian statehood. It happened in Kharkiv where MIA arrested not armed separatists that attacked the office of "Right Sector," but its defenders. Realizing the danger of further destabilization in the country, "Right Sector" did not go the way of fighting on two fronts (against the "separatists" and against MIA). However, in response to this we received only further toleration of the actions of the enemies Ukrainian statehood. It seems that the management of the MIA acts directly in favor of the interests of the Kremlin.

In this regard, we call on the Acting President of Ukraine O.Turchynov, Prime Minister of Ukraine A. Yatseniuk and the Supreme Council (Verkhovna Rada) to take urgent action to stabilize the situation in the eastern and southern regions of our country. We are ready to confront the enemies of our country in close cooperation with government authorities; however, if the state government continues to demonstrate criminal inaction, we will fight on our own.

All structures of "Rights Sector" should be maximally mobilized, so that they could at first signal begin active counteraction to the so-called "separatists."

Also we call all Ukrainian citizens to support our position and not to believe provocateurs who urge to paradoxically view resistance to the aggressors as "action in favor of the Kremlin."

Peter Ivanyshyn: Nationalism and the right political power: ideological perspectives of the Right Sector

The national Revolution of 2013-2014 definitely demonstrated that there isn’t any other alternative than national liberation struggle for the oppressed people. And at the forefront of this struggle against the regime of internal occupation the core of which was the criminal system of Yanukovych, there was and there is the Right sector – the civil formation which, upon the intiative of the All-Ukrainian organization "Tryzub" n.a. S. Bandera, united quite different social and political structures, as well as individual citizens of the right and nationalists’ movement. Therefore, the Right Sector has earned respect and affection of millions of Ukrainians whose national feelings were awakened.

The first revolutionary phase which ended with the escape of Yanukovich and change of power in February 2014, was naturally dominated by "fighting against" - against the anti-people, anti-Ukrainian and anti-state government. However, at this time there appeared the demand in the second stage of the revolution, which has to finish the whole process and lead to the qualitative change of the system of power for the benefit of the people. At this stage the "fight for" will prevail, because the freedom from the regime of Yanukovych does not mean freedom of Ukraine. And it is clear that a great chance to win will belong to the political and social movement, which will have a dictinct own philosophical basis and will be based on the eternal and fundamental ideological realities that have been for ages determining the fate of both the individual and entire nations.

To such great, fateful, traditional realities, known from the Bible or from the history of the ancient Greeks and Romans, belongs the ideology of nationalism as basic social philosophy (or system of ideas), and as a particular political ideology (or doctrine), which determines the activity of social movements and organizations.
What is in fact Ukrainian nationalism? This is a nation centric ideology. This is ideology of national freedom, the freedom of nations and individual. This is the idea and the act for the name of Ukraine. This is the ideology of protection, preservation and self-determination of the Ukrainian nation. Therefore, it is much wider and more effective than patriotism as love for motherland, though originally springing out of this feeling.

The system of Ukrainian nationalism is ancient, large and complicated, its latest images and definitions were poetically expressed by the genius of Taras Shevchenko in the middle of the nineteenth century, with powerful summarizing of historical experience and philosophical traditions of the Ukrainian people. Therefore, the basic elements of this system are very simple and organic for Ukrainian mindset, they are not artificial and not borrowed from another ideology. Let’s outline some of them.

First of all, the Ukrainian nationalism offers to everyone to step on the "Ukrainian way." Ukrainian way is a continuation of age-old ideological and political struggle for the Ukrainian idea of goal. It is a struggle for state self-determination of Ukrainians in all spheres of life. This is the Ukrainian way of life.

Therefore, the national idea is first of all the idea of winning, strengthening and developing of the national state - the state of the Ukrainian nation on the Ukrainian territory, which would guarantee the development for the Ukrainian nation, and full freedom, justice and prosperity to all citizens of Ukraine. Ingenious literary formulation of the Ukrainian national idea was given by Taras Shevchenko: "In his own house one has his own truth, and the power, and the freedom."

As a family wants to have their own house in order to be happy, so are the people eager to have their own state. Therefore, the national state is "a natural desire of every developed nation, is the culmination of its political self-determination, due to which it becomes a full and sole master of its fate in their own land" (V. Ivanyshyn). But the national state does not act only in the interests of ethnic Ukrainians, it also secures the rights and freedoms of all honest citizens of Ukraine, loyal to Ukrainian statehood.

The system of national democracy is dominant in a national state. Which is not only the legal system of prevailing role of indigenous people in state development and functioning, but also systematic control by its citizens over the power.

The nation thus is considered as something broader than the concept of nation (ethnos) and as something impossible to replace with the cosmopolitan notion of "political nation" (mechanical association of citizens). In fact, a nation is a conscious and effective unity of people, united by the idea of freedom, based on ethnic and social, spiritual and cultural factors.

An important part of the nation focused ideology is nation-existential, Shevchenko-like thinking. It's about thinking in terms of security, development and reproduction of the nation, based on the national categorical imperative or order. This order was very well articulated by Ivan Franko: "Everything that goes beyond the frame of the nation is either hypocrisy .. or fruitless sentimentalism of fantasts."

Having clear national ideological orientations, it’s easy to compete and to fight against unprincipled political entities, which are in a great number present in both current and past ruling parties; to expose the falseness of imperialism as the non-freedom mindset, enslavement of peoples and individuals which lays behind the ideology of liberalism or communism; to refuse from futureless demonstration of racism, xenophobia or pseudonationalism.

Moreover, the clear national ideological dominant allows to lead quite reasonable and flexible purely political and social activities. This relates to the development, on the base of the Right Sector, of the party and public formation of the right direction, which would be able to combine not only the nationalist forces, but also various conservative and even national-democratic structures, as well as hundreds of thousands of politically uncertain, but the patriotic citizens of Ukraine. And you can do it based on the national Shevchenko’s ideas, based on traditional Ukrainian philosophy, based on patriotic feeling, which has been awakened as a result of revolutionary events as well as due to the recent occupation by Moscow. Thus, the Right sector can unite on its nation centric state platform all patriotic and state-oriented people of different beliefs, areas of residence, language, age and sex groups, who are able to grow to the Ukrainian idea and who want the power of people in Ukraine, and not the power over the people.

The Right sector will forever remain in the history of Ukraine as the main driving force of the National Revolution of 2013-2014. However, the Right Sector can have even a large historical mission as a political party and civil organization. It is the completion of the National Revolution, change of the government system, the development of the Ukrainian National State - home for all citizens of Ukraine. I believe that a strong reliance of the Right Sector on Shevchenko’s national idea, on the Ukrainian nation-centrism, on state thinking and mechanisms for national democracy will allow to realize this age-old dream of the Ukrainian people.

The UPA Commander-in-Chief's son and the famous rock musician are the "Right sector" members

During the election meeting of the "Right sector" party carried out on March 22 the core composition of a new-born political party was elected. Two outstanding representatives of the Ukrainian national movement have become inter alia several leaders of the "Right sector". They are Yuri Shuhevich and Arseniy Klimachov, the latter better known as Arseny Bilodub.

Yuri Shuhevich is the son of one of the leaders of Ukrainian Nationalists, notably the UPA Commander-in-Chief Shukhevych (1907-1950). Yuri was born in 1933. In the year 1945 he was e facto arrested. Yuri Shuhevich was forcibly kept in a children's home. His mother and grandmother were also arrested. Later, because of his refusal to renounce the father and condemn the nationalist movement Yuri Shuhevich spent nearly thirty years in Soviet prisons and concentration camps.

Arseny Bilodub is a vocalist of a legendary nationalist rock group "Sokyra Peruna" ("Perun's axe"). One more active participant the "Right sector" is a famous nationalist poet Diane Kamlyuk.
