An appeal of the Right Sector to European comrades

Many European nationalists have shown their utmost support to Ukrainian nationalists in the revolutionary events currently taking place in Ukraine. Numerous nationalists from Poland and Romania, Italy and Greece, Spain and Sweden with great happiness learned of our declarations and understood that we are not fighting for getting closer to the EU, but for freedom from the ultra-liberal, criminal and oligarch regime of Yanukovych. It is quite possible that among the fire on the streets of Kyiv, many European nationalists saw the light of the future victory of conservative nationalist revolutionary forces throughout Europe. In this regard, we were very surprised and disappointed to learn of the joint statement made by the Hungarian Jobbik party and the Polish Ruch Narodowy movement.

In their statement, both call on their own governments to unite effors for the "defense" of the interests of Hungarian and Polish minorities in Ukraine in light of the current revolutionary events. These Polish and Hungarian populists are concerned at the rise of nationalism in Ukraine. In this regard, they have the exact same views of the local (Ukrainian) criminal elite, Russian chauvinists and American imperalists (it is worth noting that different influential American politicians have expressed their concern regarding the revolutionary events in Ukraine, due to the nationalist nature of the events).

In answering the statement of Jobbik and Ruch Narodowy, we would first of all like to say that Ukrainian nationalism is not chauvinist. For example, despite the fact that during the inner-war period some Ukrainian lands were occupied by Poland the Polish government had a policy of assimilating the local population, after the end of the Second World War, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists attempted to gain contacts and work with Polish anti-Communist forces (unfortunately, complete co-operation was not possible, due to many of those forces having imperialist views). Regarding our relations with Hungarians, it is worth noting that in 1939 Hungary invaded and occupied Carpathian Ukraine. Before that, when both Hungarian and a number of Ukrainian lands were in the Hapsburg empire, Hungarians attempted to conduct a policy of assimilation against Ukrainians.

Despite that, after the Second World War the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists put past conflicts behind them and commenced work with Hungarian nationalists in the Antibolshevik Block of Peoples. Furthmore, a few batallions of Ukrainian volunteers in 1956 spilt their own blood and sacrificed their own lives supporting the Hungarian uprising.

Currently, Ukrainian nationalists are also far from chauvinistic views and throwing fire into the mutual animosity that existed in the past. We have already stated a few times that that the National revolution in Ukraine does not pose any threat to the local Polish minority in Ukraine. There is no need for any other ethnic minorities to worry, either. Quite the opposite, we feel the state must guarantee their rights to practice their own culture as long as they are loyal to Ukrainians.

Thus, this statement of certain Hungarian and Polish politicians is baseless. However, the statement itself is not only anti-Ukrainian, it is anti-European. Currently, nationalist movements throughout Europe must promote unity. This is especially true for nationalists in Central and Eastern Europe. In particular, the Right Sector feels that past animosity between Ukrainians and Poles, Ukrainians and Hungarians, Ukrainians and Romanians, as well as Hungarians and Romanians, must be put to rest. Following the principles of true nationalism, we must create a geopolitical center that through it's strength would show the rest of Europe the path to freedom.

We call on representatives of nationalist movements in Europe to condemn the actions of Jobbik and Ruch Narodow. Spreading chauvinism is of no use for neither concrete nations, nor Europe as a whole.

We would also like to remind representatives of Jobbik that we are very happy to see it's success inside Hungary and would like to see Hungary become a nationalist and conservative state. However, any imperialist statements and actions, directed against Ukraine and her teritorial integrety will bring about an immediate response from us.

True patriots, nationalists and conservative revolutionaries must not fear the national revolution in Ukraine. Whoever fears it either does not know Ukrainian nationalism, or is a chauvinist and temporary ally of Mondialist forces, who are also worried about the success of Ukrainian nationalists

What’s going on in Ukraine? (a brief letter to western comrades)

The eyes of the world are on the revolutionary events taking place in Ukraine. It is likely that European nationalists, many of whom are true friends of the Ukrainian folk, have also taken an interest in these events. The success of the nationalist party “Svoboda” during the last parliamentary elections brought happiness to many European fighters with liberal totalitarianism. However, the pro-EU course of the party afterwards both surprised and disappointed many of our comrades.

The situation in Ukraine is indeed quite complicated. However, this is not a dead end and is not something the national-revolutionary movement in Ukraine cannot defeat. Regardless of what the leadership of “Svoboda” think, amongst “Svoboda” members there are a large amount who are against the EU, a large amount for whom a national revolution is the only possible path. Besides this, “Svoboda” is not the only nationalist movement in Ukraine. There are also other nationalist organizations in Ukraine, who are firm and consistent regarding their opposition to the EU. Before discussing these groups, the situation in our country must be briefly described.

The first thing European nationalists should understand is that a criminal regime of oligarchs exist in Ukraine, a regime for whom the interests of the Ukrainian nation are completely foreign. The regime is composed of former Communists and people from big business. Regarding ideology, the regime is completely liberal (the only thing that differentiates the regime from western political elites is that no former Trotskyites, Maoists and other leftist degenerates are in it – due to the fact that in Ukraine such people have no influence and exist only because of western grants). The main goal of the regime is becoming richer and keeping its own power. This is why geopolitically, Yanukovych is a pragmatic –in the summer he was pro-EU. Today he became a friend of Russian imperialism. If he keeps power, he will almost certainly become pro-EU again.

It is hate to the Yanokovych regime that has united many Ukrainians. Of course, protesting against the Yanukovych regime many Ukrainians also support politics of getting closer to the EU. This situation is the result of a combination of two factors: hopelessness created by the current regime, and illusions, created by two decades of Euro-Atlantic propaganda in Ukraine.

Ukrainian nationalists cannot, under any circumstances, support the bandit regime of Yanukovych. However supporting the opposition is also not possible for true Ukrainian nationalists. This is why a few nationalist organizations and movements decided to support the protests, but put forward their own take on the situation to society.

The Tryzub movement, of which I am a member, initiated the creation of the “Right Sector” – a union of nationalist movements taking part in the protests. Besides us, the Social-Nationalist Assembly is a member – as well as smaller organizations, like Carpathian Sich, White Hammer, etc.).
In a sense, the “Right Sector” is trying to use the Evolian strategy of “riding the tiger”. We are trying to use the wave of protests and direct them to conservative revolutionary positions. Compared with the liberal opposition, the “Right Sector” has virtually no resources, because it does not promote the interests of any oligarch group. However, there are quite a lot of us and today the “Right Sector” brigades are the strongest amongst of all the protest movement.

The Ukrainian opposition is quite moderate. We, however, are trying to radicalize both the official opposition, as well as the masses. For us, the main goal of the protests must be the removal from office and arrest of Yanukovych, the transfer of power to revolutionary forces, banning the ruling “Party of the Regions” and the Communist Party, and a complete change of the political system. Regarding geopolitics, we are trying to convince protestors that the EU must be destroyed, replaced by a nationalist project.

We view the current liberal opposition as a lesser evil and see it as a temporary ally. If the majority of our demands are met, and the political system in Ukraine changes, in the future we will be able to fight the current opposition and bring about a national revolution. We completely understand that the opposition will try to bring Ukraine closer to the EU. However, over time this will cause widespread disappointment amongst the population and make them more susceptive to nationalist propaganda.

There is no other option for nationalists in Ukraine. We cannot come to power in Ukraine without the support of the Ukrainians people, and the Ukrainian people today are in a state of illusions, including both sympathies to the liberal opposition and to the EU. Unfortunately, Ukraine today is repeating the fate of other countries in eastern and central Europe, who had the negligence to become EU members. However, we feel that removing Yanukovych from power will bring about circumstances for a national revolution and we will not have time to join the EU.
tion and bring about a national revolution. We completely understand that the opposition will try to bring Ukraine closer to the EU. However, over time this will cause widespread disappointment amongst the population and make them more susceptive to nationalist propaganda.
